banknotes before proceeding with your purchase, as grading can be
subjective and varies from person to person. - Please do not place too much hope on grading companies to grade the notes accurately, as they can be notoriously inconsistent.
- Different graders have different opinions, eye factors, and knowledge that influence the final grading.
- Even grading companies do not guarantee that you will get the outcome of your desired grading.

Shipping Information
- Combined Shipping:
We offer combined shipping for all banknotes. To take advantage of this
offer, please add the items to your cart together and only proceed to
checkout once you are ready to pay. The combined shipping is calculated
at the checkout page. Please do not pay for items individually, as the
shipping costs will not be combined that way. - Customs, Duty, Tariff Fees: Buyers are responsible for any applicable customs, duty or tariff fees.
- International Shipping:
Shipping duration can vary, typically ranging from 14 to 60 business
days for standard delivery. Please be aware that these shipping times
are estimates and depend on the operational efficiencies of the shipping
companies, which we cannot control. - Postage Costs:
Please note that international shipping via Australia Post is not
cheap. We strive to keep the shipping costs as low as possible,
sometimes even absorbing a portion of the costs. All orders are sent
with end-to-end tracking for safety and reliability. - Untracked Shipping Requests:
If a buyer insists on requesting an untracked, cheaper shipping option,
we reserve the right to grant or refuse the request. If untracked
shipping is granted, please be aware that we have no way of tracking the
mail, and the buyer is strictly responsible for any losses in transit. - Tracking and Logistics:
Please check Australia Post for tracking status. Since we do not own
Australia Post, we have absolutely no control over their handling times
and methods. Australia is a huge continent, and logistics are
challenging, coupled with one of the highest minimum wages in the world,
making costs and operations tough. Please check with your postal
service or local post offices if any unattended mail notes are left, as
we absolutely can’t control that remotely.

1930s Germany Berlin Stadtschloss Royal Palace Schlossbrücke Spree Photo Card

Sepia-toned real photographic print on card stock with a wide white border, showing the Berliner Stadtschloss (Berlin Royal Palace) seen across the Spree from the Schlossbrücke.
The palace fills the right two-thirds of the frame, presented in a receding three-quarter view of its long river front. The massive Baroque block rises four main storeys above a rusticated base, with regular ranks of tall windows framed by pilasters, moulded architraves, and alternating triangular and segmental pediments in the Schlüter manner. A heavy crowning cornice with balustrade and small statues runs the length of the roofline, and an ornate sculpted portal with columns and carved trophies breaks the façade at the right. Rising behind the roofline at the right is the great dome of the palace chapel — a ribbed cupola on a windowed drum with a colonnaded lantern and cross finial, added by Stüler in the 1850s. Further ranges of the palace continue away to the right.
In the foreground at the left stand two of the marble sculptural groups of the Schlossbrücke, designed by Schinkel and executed in the 1850s: nearest the camera, a helmeted warrior figure with round shield and levelled spear on a tall square pedestal, and behind it a second draped figure group on a similar plinth, both seen from the rear. A row of further pedestals recedes along the bridge parapet.
The Spree river runs across the lower part of the image, its dark water reflecting the buildings. The far bank is faced with a heavy stone embankment wall thickly overgrown with ivy or creeper, with mooring posts, a small landing stage and low timber piling visible at the water’s edge. Small boats or barges lie against the quay. The sky above is pale and lightly clouded.

Entirely blank white card stock. There is no printed matter of any kind — no divided back, stamp box, address lines, publisher imprint, message, stamp or postmark — only a little light toning and one small mark near the left edge. The unprinted reverse confirms this as a commercially produced photographic souvenir or album card rather than a postally intended postcard.
Estimated Era
Circa 1930s, Weimar or early Nazi-era Germany. The Stadtschloss is shown intact and undamaged, before the bombing of 1945 and its demolition by the East German authorities in 1950. The card stock, white Fraktur captioning and blank reverse match the souvenir photo-card sets sold in Berlin during the 1930s.
