Design description:

Front shows portrait of Queen Nefertiti within an oval frame on the right with ornamental geometric borders and Arabic denomination text in the center. Reverse features large “5 PIASTRES” denomination medallion with Arabic heading “Arab Republic of Egypt” and English inscription identifying the currency note and law authorization.
