Title
Buffalo Naval & Servicemen’s Park USS Little Rock USS The Sullivans Sabrejet Postcard
Description (Front)
A color multi-view postcard showing Buffalo Naval & Servicemen’s Park located on the Buffalo waterfront in Buffalo, New York, USA. The postcard contains four separate images highlighting military exhibits displayed at the park.
The upper left photograph shows a U.S. Air Force jet aircraft displayed outdoors beside a naval vessel. The aircraft appears to be a North American F-86 Sabre jet fighter, recognizable by its swept wings, bubble canopy, and narrow fuselage typical of early Cold War jet fighters. The aircraft carries U.S. AIR FORCE markings.
The upper right image shows a naval artillery gun mounted on deck in front of a large warship with hull number 37, which corresponds to the guided missile cruiser USS Little Rock (CLG-4). The ship features large radar structures, antennas, and missile systems typical of Cold War naval cruisers.
The lower left image provides an aerial view of the waterfront display area including the preserved warships moored along the Buffalo River with surrounding city infrastructure, bridges, and parkland.
The lower right image shows a U.S. Navy F-86 Sabrejet aircraft painted in blue and yellow colors with the words NAVY SABREJET on the fuselage, displayed on the park grounds near the ships.
Estimated postcard era: 1980s–1990s
